The Proposal

Ryan and Nikki met in late November 2005. "I remember Nikki walking into the room in a red Pokeman t-shirt with a white polka dot scarf tied in her hair. I instantly knew there was something special about her. She was absolutely beautiful, and I just knew I had to get to know her. As I look back, I can honestly say it was love at first sight.

Nikki was ready to marry Ryan right away, but he resisted for two years until he finally came to his senses. It was January 20, 2008 when Ryan finally proposed. Ryan and Nikki were supposed to have dinner that night, but Ryan had a surprise up his sleeve. "I woke up that morning and this feeling came over me. I just knew I had to do it. I read somewhere the best way to go about proposing is to be spontaneous." Ryan showed up at Nikki's place and asked her to pop a bottle of champagne and that it was a great night to celebrate. Ryan had bought her a dozen roses the day before and the mood was set. Ryan announced that he has something very important he needed to talk about. Before Nikki had taken a sip of her champaign, Ryan was on a his knee telling her that life is just a better place with her in it. He professed his love and asked her to only accept if she was ready live the rest of their lives together. Nikki only remembers saying yes with tears of joy flowing. After another bottle of wine, Ryan ended up having to replay his proposal and the rest is history.
